Product Details

English Name: Perfluoropolyether carboxylic Ammonium;PFPE-NH4

CAS No.: 62037-80-3

Molecular Formula: [CF(CF3)CF2O]n-COO-NH4

Appearance: At room temperature, in a high-concentration anhydrous state, it is a colorless to light yellow waxy solid; in a diluted state, it is a colorless or pale two-phase liquid. When heated to around 40°C and stirred, it becomes a single-phase clear liquid.

Solid Content: 95%; 50%; 10%

Critical Micelle Concentration (CMC) %: <2, @25°C

Product Characteristics: An ionic fluorinated surfactant with strong surface tension reduction ability, excellent chemical and thermal stability, good biodegradability, and low toxicity. It can be used in coatings and inks, polymer emulsifiers, plastic/rubber processing, cleaning agents, etc., and can replace perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).

* Emulsifying (halogenated raw materials): Highly effective, recommended for emulsifying fluorocarbon compounds.

* Wetting: Highly effective.

* Detergency: Moderately effective.

* Dispersing (halogenated raw materials): Highly effective, recommended for dispersing fluorocarbon compound powders.

* Compatibility: Can be used in a wide pH range, but only in low-concentration, multi-valent cation soft water systems.

Product Applications:

* Foaming: In water-based systems, it generates a large amount of initial foam with good foam stability and is stable to oxidants (such as chromic acid, peroxides, etc.).

* Polymers: Can be used as a good emulsifier in the polymerization reactions of fluorocarbon compounds (such as tetrafluoroethylene PTFE, vinylidene fluoride PVDF, etc.).

* Adhesives: Significantly enhances wetting and leveling properties, improves the penetration and adhesion of products, and is compatible with most water-based formulations.

* Cleaning Agents: Can be effectively used in hair care and hard surface cleaners, enhancing wetting ability and improving cleaning performance.
